Noww that November has finally arrived the holidays are right around the corner and its time to start thinking about fun things like sending out Holiday Cards! This is my favorite time of year and one of my favorite things is sending out Holiday cards to spread a little cheer :). I’m so excited about this year’s card because it is Abby’s first Christmas and of course I want to create a card with some cute holiday pictures of her! Friends and family that live far away will get to see how much she has grown plus in my opinion photo cards are a wonderful keepsake. I put them in scrapbooks and of course copies will go in Abby’s baby book! Its a wonderful way to capture and cherish these special moments! Plus photo cards are so much more personal/meaningful than some simple generic store bought card. Now one little thing about me, I enjoy creating special things like Photo Christmas Cards, Photo Calenders, Photo Books, etc myself, none of this going to some professional and having them create it for me. I like to be able to choose my design, choose my own pictures and wording, and make my creation as personal as possible. That’s why I always go to Shutterfly for my photo creations; Shutterfly has such a wonderful selection of products that fit what I’m looking for! I’m definitely using Shutterfly this year to create my special photo cards celebrating Abby’s first Christmas to send to friends and family.
This past weekend we took Abby to the Holiday House and got some really cute Holiday Pictures of her to choose from…now the hard part is choosing which one(s) to use! Instead of trying to decide on the picture to use right now I went to Shutterfly to check out their selection of Christmas Card designs for this year. I couldn’t believe how many different designs are available!! I thought the hardest part would be picking which cute picture to use but now I have the tough decision of picking which adorable card to use as well!! Here are a few that I’m loving right now!
(lol sorry no sneak peaks at any of Abby’s pictures…those are a surprise when I send out my cards! Don’t worry, I’ll post a few later to share with all of you 🙂
I love all the different options that are available, not only in backgrounds but also in the design. I can use one really cute picture of Abby (almost impossible to pick just one of course) or I can use a cute series to “tell a story” or can use some of just her and still be able to include a family picture. I love having options and several to choose from!
Another reason why I love Shutterfly(especially this time of year)…I can create amazing gifts for special family members. Every year I create a photobook for my sister showcasing pictures of my niece growing up during the year. The first one I made brought my sister to tears, she loved it and was thrilled with such a meaningful gift. The pictures in the book are so vibrant and its something she will always have to cherish. I know she pulled the books down this year to look at pictures from my niece’s first Halloween, the pictures made her laugh and cry and I’m delighted that a gift from almost three years ago still brings her so much joy. There are several different book types to choose from, I usually go with the 8×8 hardcover.
Even better…Shutterfly also has Thanksgiving Cards to pick from as well as New Year’s Cards and even Christmas Gift Tags! Everything I need for the entire Holiday Season all in one place…without leaving the comfort of my home and with the benefit of being able to shop/create around my crazy schedule (which means I’m usually in here working around 2AM LOL)
Best part of all…Shutterfly is giving 50 FREE Holiday Photo Cards to Bloggers that blog about them!! What a wonderful way to get in a festive mood and prepare for the holidays!! To submit your request to participate, simply go HERE 🙂 Enjoy!
