I am so proud of my little sweet pea, she did such a good job last night sleeping without her Woombie. She only woke up twice…twice!!! Normally she wakes up every 2-3 hours wanting a bottle. Last night she woke up between 12-1 and yes, it took a bottle to settle her back down. Then she didn’t stir again until about 4:30! I stayed up most of the night working and mainly listening for her while hubby got some rest. We figured it would be a round night and decided to just split the shift. I was just getting ready to lay down around 4 when she started making noises like she would soon be crying out. Hubby did get up and take over then, it only took a quick bottle and she was back out. I think she might have slept until 7a…not too sure since I was snoozing. But I am so very proud of my baby!!
Here’s a picture of her today during nap time, I was trying out my new camera before we headed outside to play after nap.
Tonight has been much better. She still went to bed later than usual but to be honest, this is more like the schedule she use to have. When we went through daylight savings she never readjusted so bedtime was earlier than normal. Now for some reason she seems to be working her way back into the normal routine. She went to be tonight without crying!! I was worried we would have another disaster like we did last night when she cried for so long before settling down; however, she simply took her bottle and was out just like always. No screaming and pitching a fit and being restless. I’m so surprised. She whimpered just a tiny bit once but it was pretty much when she was settling in after finishing her bottle and we knew to go give her paci. So far she has only woken up once, a quick bottle and right back to sleep. She hasn’t cried out several times in a restless way like last night or anything. *happy dance* Perhaps we have finally seen the end of Woombie, I will finally add the last one to the storage container of clothes from when she was a little baby.
Now what am I supposed to do with this brand new Woombie I have??? Anyone need one?
I’m still up working and will probably work until I’m really tired or she wakes up again. I’m letting hubby rest as much as possible because I won’t be able to take over as much at night tomorrow since he goes in Monday morning and I’ll have to be up with her.
Watching my baby girl grow up makes me want to cry…where is the pause button? Where did my little baby go? I still can’t believe she’s almost a year old! And I know we have several more big changes coming up…I’m not sure how much more I can take right now lol 🙂
Tell me about it. Our baby girl is now 18 months old and we probably aren’t going to have another one. It makes me sad that I won’t ever hold another baby of my own again in my arms. Or nurse a baby again. 🙁 Chloe is still nursing, but even that is soon going to be coming to an end, as she is already starting to cut back from 3 times a day, to 2. Your little girl looks so sweet. My son loved to be swaddled, but Chloe didn’t. We tried and she wanted nothing to do with it. She didn’t mind being in a sling, but she hated being swaddled, go figure. My son is almost 3 1/2, he was a great baby, and yes, I miss him being a baby too.
Aawwww! My baby girl is 16! *sigh*
BTW, I left you a message about donating the Woombie to a “baby shower” for charity, but I somehow put it in the wrong place. It’s below the giveaway winners post. What??? ;oP
