As I was gathering up Abby’s things to take to spend the day with my sister, I realized just how much extra junk we needed. Extra blankets, lots of extra toys, clothes, bottles, and even a few things for myself. There was no way everything would fit in the diaper bag so I found myself searching for another bag to toss everything in. Trust me, its a pain to go through this every time we head out for more than just a quick trip!!
Something else that drives me crazy? When I need to go on our major grocery/shopping trip and I have to take Abby along with me, alone. Typically hubby is always working when its time to shop (I’m wondering if he plans it this way lol) so I find myself lugging Abby, her diaper bag, my huge purse, extra toys to keep her happy, my shopping notebook and coupon book, etc. I always get so frustrated because I have my hands full and now that its cold all I want is to get in and out really quick with the baby instead of standing in the cold fighting with all this junk. Unfortunately for me, her diaper bag just isn’t big enough.
Then I had the pleasure of talking to Heather who is a Thirty-One Independent Consultant. Heather told me all about the amazing products Thirty-One offers, the more she told me about the more I found that would really help me. Organizing totes, organizers, thermal totes, there is definitely something to fit everyone’s needs. And the patterns are so pretty and stylish.
Heather is so sweet to work with and I asked her to write a little something to introduce herself and the company to you:
Ok, here’s a little about me, as well as a little bit about the company. I don’t know if you need both, but use whatever you would like. Also, please feel free to change it as you want to….
I’m the wife to a fantastic guy (10 years now!) and a stay-at-home mommy for two crazy little kids. 🙂 Abbie, my fun and wild little girl, is five and Caleb, my sweet little man, is one and a half. My husband and I are the youth ministers for our church and love working with teenagers! I’m also in the middle of my first year of homeschooling Abbie through Kindergarten, which has been quite the adventure! Needless to say, being around kids 24/7 is what encouraged me to get started with Thirty-One. This great company has provided a way for me to meet and connect with other ladies while, at the same time, talking about great products that I love!
a little bit about the company… Thirty-One is a faith-based company whose goal is to celebrate, encourage, and reward women for who we are and the roles we fill. They offer adorable products that are functional, fashionable, and affordable! The products are designed to help women be more organized at home and look great while we’re on-the-go. You can check out the website (www.mythirtyone.com/trendy31) to see all of these great products or to get more information about hosting a party or joining my team!
Thirty-One is so amazing and anyone interested in joining should definitely contact Heather!
Heather sent me the Organizing Utility Tote in the St. Andrews Tartan to review and I was thrilled when it arrived right in time for our big shopping trip. The pattern is gorgeous!!
The colors are so vibrant and even hubby was willing to tote this around since its not so girly. I decided to really put it to the test and loaded it up with everything I needed for the day. Diapers, formula, extra clothes, burp cloths, blankets, bottles, my wallet, everything out of my purse that I typically use, toys, there was even a place for my bottle of water!!(I do already have things in smaller pouches…like my make-up, etc so those were tossed in) I loved only having to grab one bag and I was out the door. The bag hung quite nicely around the stroller handle so I didn’t even have to bother carrying it. Normally I hang the diaper bag on the handle and then have to either leave my purse on my shoulder or stick it in the bottom storage basket of the stroller. And yes, as soon as I put it down there I always need something out of it. I loved how with the tote everything was right there within reach without being in the way. And while it didn’t make the actual shopping any easier it did make getting in and out so much faster.
While I won’t use this tote to completely replace the diaper bag I can see many uses already for it. Going to the gym or the beach, going to festivals, day trips to visit family, this tote has so many different uses!
