Dali Wall Decals Review & Giveaway

When we moved into base housing I knew I would have to get creative when it came to decorating. With so many rules about what we can’t do, I needed to find a way to make this house seem like a home and to decorate Abby’s nursery while staying without our “decorating guidelines”.

Wall decals are a great, easy and inexpensive way to bring personality and creativity to any room. I like to be unique so all the typical decals found in stores simply wouldn’t do, I wanted something that I could personalize to my family, from names to color and design. The wall decals are super easy to install and don’t cause any damage to the walls, perfect for when you’re trying to eliminate having alot of nail holes left behind when you move.

I was thrilled when Dali Decals offered me a gift certificate to use towards a decal(s) for review purposes…the hard part was trying to pick which decal! I selected two different ones, one for our daughter’s new nursery that says Daddy’s Little Princess

and Underwater Sea Turtles to make her bathroom fun!

The decals came with detailed instructions and even a little tool to help smooth them against the wall to make applying the decal easier. I think it took hubby maybe 15-30 minutes to put the turtles up and that was because he was having so much fun figuring out how he wanted to place them. The turtles are 6 individual pieces (they come as one large piece and you cut them apart) giving us the freedom to display them as we like. The colors are so vibrant and the turtles are even cuter in person! The turtles changed the entire look of the room! This is in the guest bathroom, Abby’s bathroom, so since its mainly just used for baths we applied them along the top of the bath/shower wall.. There isn’t a window for this room so its like a dark little box. The turtles help brighten the room and definitely give it personality. The theme for Abby’s bathroom is cute little turtles, frogs and ducks…with lots of pinks and greens. These turtles fit right in and the color is a perfect match to her towels!

We made sure the placement was just right before pressing the decals firmly down.

Made sure to smooth down the decals really good, we have textured walls so we didn’t want any extra little bumps of bubbles

Since we finally got permission to paint Abby’s room, we haven’t applied her decal just yet but we got her turtles put up and they were a huge hit. They definitely make bathtime more fun, she giggles and claps when she sees them “swimming” along the wall. The only downside is that the decals are not reuseable, once they are applied to the wall that’s where they will stay so its important to take the time to get the positioning just right. Another reason why we must wait until Abby’s room is painted.

  2. My favorite is the Tall Tree With Leaves Blowing in the Wind! …I want to get it for my (expected) baby’s giraffe nursery, but can’t afford it as we are in the process of buying a house =]
