When we finally moved to base and settled in I immediately wanted to decorate Abby’s room. I never got to create the adorable nursery for my baby girl, we were always trying to get things done and then we made the decision to move. It was silly to spend so much time on a room that she would never use. Now that we are on base, its a completely different story and I gotten busy decorating her room and making it her own unique space.
I love unique items created especially for me. Pictures, plaques, decor that I get have custom made to my liking or to match current decorations in a room. Its so much better that just going to a store and buying the standard item everyone else will buy. While browsing around on Facebook I came across Alphadorable ~ Custom Wall Letters and fell in love with her designs. Not only does she offer uniquely painted wall letters but also adorable wooden name plaques, bow holders, picture frames and canvas name signs.
I was delighted to have the opportunity to work with Amanda, she is truly creative and wonderful at matching designs. For the review item she asked what Abby’s room decor/theme was. Since I was still working on everything I didn’t really have a picture to send her so I sent her the online link to Abby’s bedding set. I also told her that Abby’s colors are pink and brown and that if the bedding wouldn’t work, we would be happy with polka dots lol. I love polka dots and we have several pink and brown polka dot items already. What Amanda created was truly amazing!
She did a fantastic job of matching the bedding set! The wall plaque is beautiful and it will be something that will grow with Abby as she goes from having a nursery to having a toddler room. Since Abby’s room is being painted I don’t have her sign up just yet but I will post a picture once I do! Here are a few more examples of Alphadorable’s 6″X10″ Wooden Hand Painted Name Plaques:
Aren’t they adorable!! You can view even more of Amanda’s custom hand painted creations HERE
