Do you have a little one that’s scared of the dark? If so, then the adorable ScareMeNots are perfect the perfect companion for your child. These cute, plush monsters are great bedtime buddies to help any child conquer their fear of the dark. ScareMeNots have extra long tails (with Velcro strips) that make it easy to hang them from doorknobs, off the bed, inside your closet or anywhere else the bedtime scaries might be hiding. ScareMeNots are a wonderful new plush toy and great idea from Innovative Toys, a new plush toy company with an awesome human interest angle – plush with a purpose!
ScareMeNOTs are trained at the renowned ScareMeNot Academy -a special school where good little monsters learn to see in the dark, hang from their tails and stay awake all night.
Meet the Graduates:
Fearless Fred: Don’t mess with the monster in red! There’s only one ScareMeNot who knows “Monster Arts” and that’s Fearless Fred. Trained at the ScareMeNot Academy to use his tail 99 different ways, Fred loves to battle bedtime scaries with his amazing monster moves.
Guardian Gus: Meet the guy who can spot monsters with one hand! With an eye on each palm, Guardian Gus can find bedtime scaries almost anywhere. If you have monsters hiding around corners, under the door or wedged in secret places that Mom and Dad can’t see, Guardian Gus is the ScareMeNot for the job!
Protector Patty: There’s no escape – Patty has an eye for every move you make! How many eyes does it take to catch a monster? Protector Patty has TEN!!! When she’s not bouncing on bedtime scaries, Patty keeps an eye out for trouble while making sure her friends don’t cause any. She really likes to scare monsters when they least expect it.
Courageous Carrie: When monsters refuse to come out, they leave it to Carrie! As a little monster, Courageous Carrie discovered she could smell like any flower she wanted. Whenever she hiccupped, flowers blossomed on her head and filled the room with intoxicating scents. Whether they smelled sweet or really stinky, Carrie can knock bedtime scaries off their feet or head-over-heels with one whiff.
Watchdog Wally: He knows what monsters smell like! If you’re looking for the best detective around, Watchdog Wally is your monster. Ready to track down clues with his enormous nose, Wally can smell bedtime scaries in the craziest places. Under the blankets, behind the dresser, or even in your sock drawer, Wally wants to chase away your worries so you can sleep.
KnockOut Ned: If your bedroom has too many monsters, better get Ned! With one swing of his big red boxing glove, KnockOut Ned loves nothing more than bopping bedtime scaries out the door so you feel safe and secure. If you need one guy to get the job done, KnockOut Ned is ready to jump into the ring!
Defender Dave: He’s the monster that never blinks! With eyes all the way around his head, Defender Dave can watch the closet, the bookcase and under the bed… all at the same time! No bedtime scaries can escape Dave’s super seeing powers. If your bedroom is crawling with scaries, Defender Dave is here to help.
Valiant Valerie: She can crawl into secret places only monsters can hide! She’s the cutest ScareMeNot in monster chasing! So cute, your bedtime scaries will want to adopt her. But don’t be fooled, Valiant Valerie is a trained professional. She will take down any nighttime monster before your can say “diaper change!”
Deep Breath Dudley: Have no fear! Dudley’s soothing sounds make monsters sleepy! When kids need help, The ScareMeNot Academy works hard to find the right monster for the job. Our newest recruit, Deep Breath Dudley, became a ScareMeNot for one reason – to be a friend, day or night, to boys and girls who need him. Specifically trained to make calming“sleepy sounds,” Dudley helps kids breathe easy and stay calm. (In partnership with The Infant & Children Sleep Apnea Awareness Foundation.)
We were excited to review one of the ScareMeNots and we chose Courageous Carrie since Abby actually has an Aunt Kari…we thought it would be cute for her ScareMeNOT and aunt to share a name 🙂 As soon as I opened the box and pulled Carrie out, Abby was all smiles and squeals. She immediately wanted to meet her new friend!
The ScareMeNots are so cute and so friendly that they bring a smile to anyone’s face and its so much fun to hang them upside down by their tail! These bedtime buddies will grow with your child and will help make bedtime fun, especially if your child is having problems with being scared of the dark. I’m not to that point yet with Abby and I dread the days when she does become afraid of the dark, I’m just glad that we have Courageous Carrie around to help Abby out during bedtime and scare away all the monsters that might be upsetting her. Give your child the ability to take care of their own “monster problem” and I’m sure instead of tears you’ll have giggles and sweet dreams with the little help of a ScareMeNot!
