I hope all the dads out there enjoy their day! We’ve had a quiet day and hubby is planning to fire up there grill here soon. He said he would much rather grill than go out 🙂
Last year since hubby was away at training and had to miss his First Father’s Day, I did what I could to make the day special for him. I grabbed a pink piece of cardstock from my scrapbook pile, made a cute little sign/card and dressed Abby in her “daddy” outfit. Since she was still so little I simply sat her in the chair beside the card, took several pictures then sent one to hubby via picture mail. He said it made his day and he loved it.
Over the past year hubby has commented on what I did several times, I could really tell it meant alot to him so I decided to make a tradition out of it. Since he had to work yesterday I took advantage of him being out of the house to try and get the picture for this year. Once again I grabbed pink cardstock, Abby’s cute “daddy” outfit and my camera. Needless to say….it was SOOOOO much easier to do last year when Abby just sat there lol This year she was much more interested in playing and standing up than taking a picture. I managed to get several cute pictures and finally the perfect one to frame with the card.
Happy Father’s Day Hubby! We love you!!!
