I can remember a couple of years ago when we lived in the apartment complex, hubby would complain that he wanted a yard to mow. Now that we have lived in a couple of houses I’m beginning to wonder if he wishes he had never said that lol. Our yard in Benton wasn’t too bad, the yard on base was slightly bigger and hubby started complaining that he wanted a riding lawn mower. I could see his point, the yard was pretty big and had a decent size hill in it that was torture in the summer heat. Now that we are moved into the new house hubby finally gave up and found a riding mower. Our yard is huge!! It’s wonderful, we have plenty of room in the backyard for Abby’s playhouse and her little picnic table, the grill and soon a little toddler pool. Of course, a huge yard also means a pain to mow with a simple little push mower. Sure, it can be done but it takes forever! Hubby’s boss had a mower for sale so he went to get it Saturday. Last I was told about this mower was that it worked and they guy was going to sell it to us for set amount of money and would let us pay it out. I got home Saturday to find a mower with a flat tire that didn’t work. Umm…wait a minute, we got a broken mower?! Seems like the mower stopped working, hubby didn’t pay anything for it yet and he has been spending all kinds of money to fix it *sigh* At least Abby has had fun helping:
“hrmmm maybe if you pull that knob it will help”
“okay daddy, you say when and I’ll try to crank it”
she was so frustrated and upset that she couldn’t help her daddy get the mower fixed
“all this hard work in the heat and it STILL won’t work”
By the time she came in the house she was a hot, sweaty, stinky, dirty mess lol she is definitely a daddy’s girl! She had so much fun helping her daddy 🙂 and she knows that mommy is waiting in the house to put her straight in the bathtub!!
Awe! She is so adorable, looks like she was having fun. I love some of those faces she was giving.
So stinkin’ cute!! Wish we had a yard big enough to do this. 🙂
