Its the end of summer and temperatures are scorching hot! I’m not sure about you but I don’t even want to leave the house most days, a simple walk to the car is enough to make me miserable. That’s why I’m so thankful for Family Movie Night from Walmart and P&G. Forget going out in the heat, we can order in and settle down for a great movie that we both can enjoy.
P&G and Walmart have partnered together once again to bring us wonderful made for TV family movie! This week I had the opportunity to preview the new Family Movie Night movie, Who Is Simon Miller? and I am truly excited for when it premieres Saturday August 6th on NBC at 8pm ET/7pm CT. From what I saw I know it will be a great movie to enjoy watching with my husband for our “date night” Saturday.
Synopsis:
Like most families, the Millers have their challenges. Simon’s (Loren Dean) frequent business trips have created some distance between him and the rest of the family, leaving Meredith (Robyn Lively) stretched and struggling to keep things together. Daughter Sarah, an 18-year-old honor student, has recently gotten herself into trouble at school while son Kevin, 15, struggles to engage with anything outside of a video game…
But these issues all prove to be trivial when Simon goes missing. Sensing something is not right, the family frantically searches Simon’s office for information. Discovery of a stash of passports, all with Simon’s picture but each with a different alias, reveals that their father has been keeping more than a few secrets. In a frantic phone call, Simon urges the family not to tell anyone of his disappearance, not even the authorities, right before the line goes dead. Who is Simon Miller? And what exactly has he gotten himself – and now his family – into?
Shocked, scared and unsure if they can even trust the dad they thought they knew, the three embark on their own international mission to get him back. With Meredith’s sharp instincts, Sarah’s foreign language skills and Kevin’s natural techgenius, they try to unravel the mystery behind his disappearance. It’s a heartpounding family thriller that tests the limits to which families will fight for each other.

When hubby walked in to ask me a question he caught a glimpse of the trailer for Who Is Simon Miller? and was immediately interested. He thought it was a movie and told me to rent it for him, I told him we’ll just make it our date night movie for Saturday August 6th since it was a Family Movie Night movie. I love having interesting movies to watch in the comfort of our home without the hassle of renting a movie. Plus, Family Movie Night movies always have such a great story to them, they make fantastic conversation starters for when we have friends over and usually there is a lesson to be learned (a great plus when you have children old enough to watch). My opinion is, Who Is Simon Miller? is definitely a must see, I actually recommended it to several family members and friends. Can’t be home on a Saturday night? Then make sure to set your DVR so you can enjoy this great movie!
