As our daughter’s second birthday was approaching, I was giving a lot of thought to ways to help encourage her to play. With the weather finally warm again, I wanted to really encourage her to get outside, run and play and enjoy being a child. I want to turn off the cartoons and encourage her to use her imagination, whether it is outside playing or even just playing or coloring in the house on rainy days. I wanted to introduce her to new activites that she could enjoy both at home and at play groups. That’s something else I have given tons of thought to, joining up with other moms for fun playdates so all the children to enjoying playing together! The more playdates we attend, the more I think about other children having fun and having the opportunity to play. I was happy to discover Mattel’s introduction of their new Power of Play Program.
