So as I mentioned a few days ago, we came home with a fish. Hubby expected the fish to die but it seems like we picked a fish who is as stubborn as we are because the darn thing lived no matter what. Hubby figured if it could survive having it’s bag poked and beat on, Abby thinking she should share not only her steak but also her french fries and cereal with it plus not having real fish food for several days then it deserved to have an actual fish tank.
Hubby arrived home from work the other day with no only the two things I asked him to grab from the store for me but also with a fish tank, fish food, rocks and a plant for the tank…and another fish!!! Needless to say, Abby squealed with delight while I just shook my head and laughed.
Yep, without meaning to we have now become proud owners of two fish. I honestly think hubby feels bad because he had his heart set on getting Abby a dog, she absolutely adores dogs but we discovered the hard way that she’s allergic to dogs. I guess he figures all she’ll be able to have are fish and since they make her so happy, he set her up with two fish to enjoy. How can I say no when she sits there watching them saying “hi fish hi fish” and giggling that adorable giggle. Besides, if they can handle her and still live then they definitely fit right in (since getting the tank she has still managed to feed the fish fries and fruit loops…*sigh* we have learned to keep it completely out of her reach). So, we now have two fish…one is Abby’s and one is hubby’s. I think it’s time to get a fish for mommy 🙂
ugh…and still not so great pictures since I’m having to use my phone. My camera finally just gave up, good thing I’m getting my new one soon!
Aww how exciting! I bet she’s sat there and stared at it for hours!
Looks like she is having a lot of fun !
Adorable photos 🙂 I remember my first fish 🙂 My Dad got me a Calico, Bubble Eye and regular Goldfish all on in small tank. They didn’t last very long because I insisted it was hilarious to stir them up in a tornado with the net but I still look back and cherish the memory of my Dad bringing them home to me. I recently got my two children some guinea pigs to share 😀 They are loving taking care of them 🙂
