I looked at the calender today and realized that November is already sneaking past me as quickly as October did! Here it is the second week already and I haven’t done anything to prepare for the holidays, including picking out our Christmas cards! Yes, I’m one of those that likes to get things done early so I’m not rushing around at the last minute. Plus, since I take part in a military spouse holiday card exchange I like to have my cards ready to mail early so there’s time for them to arrive overseas.
I like to do things a bit different than the normal/traditional store bought package of cards. I really like to personalize our cards since I’m sending them out to close friends and family, something unique and personal just seems better than a generic box of cards anyone can purchase. Ever since Abby was born I have started creating special Photo Holiday Cards, I love being about to send out a card with her holiday picture to family! They truly love seeing pictures of her and I love going all out for the holiday pictures.
I always shop Shutterfly for our Photo Christmas Cards; I love their selection, I love the ease of the website with designing/uploading, I love the quality of the cards and love how quickly they arrive. I usually check out Shutterfly’s holiday card collection shortly after they release it, I like to get an idea of what is new and what all designs there are. If I happen to find a card I really love and just have to use I’ll actually use it as inspiration when taking Abby’s Christmas picture just so I know the picture and card will go great together. This year I have about three favorites, I’m not sure how I’ll ever narrow down to just one! Here are just a few of the wonderful designs there are to choose from (and no, I didn’t post my top three lol don’t want family to see what I might use):
It is never too early to start thinking about which holiday cards you want to send, take time to stop by Shutterfly.com and check out the wonderful selection they have to offer. If you have never sent photo Christmas cards you should definitely consider it! Grandparents, family, friends, everyone loves to see family photos or just photos of your cutie (or pet! hey, pets are just as cute and important as children) and it will be such a wonderful surprise for them to open up a card wishing them holiday cheer with a great photo to display. While you’re visiting the website make sure to check out the Special Offers page!
To spread some fun holiday cheer with all of you (and to help get you started with your Christmas cards!), Shutterfly has offered Adventures in Abbyland the chance to share a great giveaway with all my awesome readers.
Shutterfly is generously offering one lucky reader $50 off an order of $50 or more (excluding tax and shipping & cannot be combined with any other promos, expires 12/14/2012 – no extensions)!!

nope 🙁
No, I haven’t — but I do have some pics ‘in mind’ that I am thinking of using on a card.
Shutterfly is AWESOME. I love the personalized look of everything instead of a box of Christmas cards from the dollar store! 🙂 I like the ones where you can put a pic on the inside as well as the outside…
no but we’re having our pictures taken next week so that’s step 1!
Yes. I chose my card but still need to take more pictures.
No I haven’t started my cards yet. 🙁
I started taking pictures for it when we went to Frankenmuth in August. Now, I just need to put them together! This is a great giveaway!

We just saw our family photos last night and would LOVE to use Shutterfly again for our holiday cards this year! I’ve been looking at all the cards but haven’t picked one yet! Thank you for the opportunity to win! 🙂
