Two things I love to do online is find awesome deals and auctions. I was thrilled when I discovered a website that combined the two for me. Have you heard of DealDash.com yet? I actually discovered DealDash.com by reading another blogger’s review and I decided I just had to check it out. I hadn’t really looked much into penny auctions before but this website definitely sounded interesting and like a great place to get awesome deals. There are so many different items to bid on, from gift cards to laptops to cameras and just all kinds of great products all at really great prices!
DealDash is pretty simple to understand, when you bid the amount goes up one cent. You purchase bid packs for a low price of 60 cents a bid. Sometimes DealDash will run neat specials, sometimes for holidays where you can purchase bid packs for an even lower price but usually it’s 60 cents a bid. You then can bid on all different kinds of auctions, from gift cards to really awesome products. Now if you’re not having much luck with bidding, you always have the option of buying the item and receiving the bids you spent back. That’s really neat and a great way to still find a great deal.
I was pretty terrible when I gave it a try, I had the worst of luck when it came to bidding. I did put the BidBuddy to good use and highly recommend using it. If there is an item you’re really bidding on and might have to step away from the computer you can set up Bid Buddy to help you with bidding. You enter the amount of bids you’re willing to use and then it will bid for you. This was good for me because I was constantly having to chase after Abby and handle phone calls. I usually set up the Bid Buddy with 20 bids and then add more if I wanted to continue bidding on the item. It was with Bid Buddy’s help that I finally won my first auction! I was bidding on a $25 amazon gift card plus 20 bids and had to step away to talk to the hospital about my appointment. When I got back to the computer the screen said “Congratulations!”, I was so excited. It took only 6 bids, I won the auction for $1.81. I had been bidding on different things like Toys R Us, Applebees and the Amazon one since I’m preparing for Abby’s upcoming birthday, the Amazon card is going to be great for buying gifts for her! Check out is really easy, I simply paid via paypal and got notification that my gift card would arrive in the mail shortly.
I would definitely say DealDash takes patience and you do have to watch out for bidding wars. Also watch how high the bids are going, if you’re already close to paying actual price then it’s best to just pay for the item and get your bids back. Every bidder has their own game plan, some sit back and just watch for a bit while others are competitive bidders who bid immediately each time they are out bid. Some you might find frustrating and not be for you but no worries, there are so many auctions open that you’ll find a place where you are happy bidding. The only tiny problem I ran into was dealing with two bidders that seemed more like the same person, the three of us were the only ones bidding and when I finally gave up in the bidding war the other bidders immediately stopped as well. Just a little odd and definitely frustrated me (why did the other person give up at the exact same time?) but just a lesson learned and it helped me get better when it came to bidding.
DealDash is worth checking out and giving a try, if you’re lucky you can great some really great items at super low prices! What’s really nice is DealDash gives you a second chance, if you are a first time bidder and you use all of your bids without winning anything, DealDash will give you a second chance by returning all the bids from your first bid pack free of charge.
Along with the fun of bidding and scoring great deals was receiving my gift card in the mail. It arrived super quick and with no troubles at all.
