That was the saying I heard all last Tuesday as we prepared to head to the arena and watch SmackDown, you could tell everyone was extremely excited to see The Rock! I can’t believe it’s been a week already since we were there, we had so much fun!
I’m all about doing things together as a family and I was so excited when I received the email about attending SmackDown. I was actually sitting at the hospital waiting for my CT scan when I got the email, I couldn’t wait to share the good news with hubby! Doing things together is so important to me, especially when it’s something that’s going to create lasting memories we’ll always talk about.
It was pretty stormy that day but luckily the storms let up long enough for us to attend. It also turned pretty chilly but that didn’t seem to bother anyone at all! At least we didn’t get soaked standing in line 🙂
You might be questioning me taking Abby since she’s not even quite three but she had so much fun and the program is definitely kid friendly! Sure, she got a little overwhelmed by the crowd and the excitement and had her few little moments of tears but she is only two and a half after all! She did the exact same thing at other events she attended like Disney, it’s just the crowd and excitement that overwhelms her a bit. I happily sat in the seat with her while hubby had a blast standing and cheering.
Oh to experience the event from a child’s point of view! Sure, hubby was cheering and chatting with the guys sitting around us but I was getting to experience the wrestling event through Abby and believe me, if the wrestlers could have heard her they would have been laughing. When the guys would fall she would tell me “he fall down!” or “he has a boo boo!” and of course when they fell she would ask in her concerned little voice “okay? you okay? bandaid?” Oh if only Mark Henry, Randy Orton and the Big Show knew my little pig-tailed two year old was so concerned for them.
She cheered right along with her daddy, she clapped for her favorites, she got really excited when she saw Chris Jericho’s jacket because it “sparkled” and of course she loved the divas the most. She called them all princesses, I think Layla was her favorite (I know Layla was hubby’s favorite!).
Oh and this by the way…
is a castle according to Abby. Yes, to see it all through a toddler’s eyes makes it all so very different!
Hubby was definitely thrilled because he got to see his favorite wrestler, Randy Orton! I think the match between Randy and Mark Henry was the best of the evening for hubby. I’m just thrilled with my picture.
It was an amazing evening! We all had a wonderful time, met some really great people and had a blast watching all our favorite WWE Superstars! If you are a WWE fan then definitely check out their schedule and see when they will be coming to your area, take the whole family and go enjoy a great family event! It’s family friendly so don’t let a little one’s age worry you, Abby wasn’t the youngest I saw there and I promise she had tons of fun! Since this was a televised event it aired of course during Friday Night SmackDown, Abby was beyond thrilled to see everything she had just seen on Tuesday night! Plus it was fun to see hubby on TV (I avoided the camera as best I could), she was so confused as to why her daddy was on the TV!

Looks like you all had fun!
oh we did! Abby still talks about it when she sees wrestling on TV.
This looked like a lot of fun..You didn’t see anyone get hit with a chair did you? like the wrestling matches on television. She is too cute your little girl.
Actually yes, Randy Orton pulled out a chair against Mark Henry. This event was televised 2/15 so of course just like it is on TV but really kid friendly, even the pyrotechnics weren’t that bad… I think I jumped more than she did! 🙂 and thank you!
I haven’t been to one of those but it looks like fun!
the events are definitely fun 🙂 We have been to a couple together just hubby and I, this was our first time going with our daughter and was thrilled it was such a fun family event.
So jelly…wish I had a wrestler’s bod like that :0)
My husband would love this LOL…he grew up watching WWE. I think he would have a blast taking our son 🙂
You should definitely see if there is an event coming to your area and plan a family night! It will be a fun experience for your son and you’ll get major brownie points with the hubs lol
Looks like you had a great time. My father was a wrestling fan and as a kid I remember watching with him. And I didn’t turn out so bad. I am sure your three year old daughter enjoys it for what it is, pure fun and entertainment.
🙂 exactly! It’s such a wonderful way for them to spend time together and you’re right, she enjoys it for just what it is… fun and entertainment 🙂 She’ll remember spending the evening with us and having fun more than anything else.
