For Abby’s 3rd Birthday I had the hardest time deciding on a theme. I’m not sure why I had such a hard time, the week leading up to her birthday as I walked around the store shopping for last minute items I had plenty of theme ideas. Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, Tangled, Princess, Bubble Guppies, there were endless possibilities but for some reason, last month when I first start thinking of her birthday nothing seemed quite right. While Abby has tons of interests, she doesn’t really have anything she’s just real big into, not like some kids are. Not just any one particular favorite, just a bunch of things she likes. Because of this I couldn’t decide on what theme to go with for her birthday. Plus I was facing surgery, was stressed out and just couldn’t focus on things.
Thanks to some really awesome friends and my mom, I finally came up with a fun idea that really seemed to work well for Abby. A bright, fun Candy Theme. Not candy land or anything, just Candy! Lots of candy and bright fun colors! It really fit her fun personality! Of course, going with my own theme meant I would be coming up with most of the decor myself, creating most of it from scratch but that was fine with me. I love crafty projects and got tons of great ideas from Pinterest! With my mom’s help, we found everything we needed to create all the decor items and everything came together perfectly for my birthday girl!!
Great theme! The lollipop centerpiece with the giant “3” balloon looks awesome!
Thank you Laurie 🙂 the “3” balloon isn’t actually part of the centerpiece, I was just desperate to make it stay put lol
wow, you weren’t kidding with that, lol
lol yeah, went a little overboard with the candy especially since not many were able to make it due to weather. We still have most of it lol
Wow, that is the cutest party theme ever! I love all of the brightly colored candy. I think that my little one would flip for this! 🙂
Thank you Daisy! I had fun with it, I did have to eliminate a few ideas but it was so much fun and can be changed up in so many ways to make it unique for each child.
Holy cow, what a beautiful job you did on this party! And after SURGERY!! Hope you are feeling better!
Thank you! 🙂 I had so much fun with this, makes me want to do even more crafty things. She loved it and that’s what mattered most to me. I am feeling better now, recovery took much longer than expected but all seems to be going well now, thank you 🙂
