Well, our weekend definitely did not go as planned. I had all sorts of stuff planned out, from setting up the toy room to redecorating Abby’s room and moving in her big girl bed. Instead, we spent the entire weekend sick. Poor Abby woke up about 4 a.m. Saturday morning sick as can be, once again my poor baby was vomiting and we were up the rest of the night (morning) with her. She also got sick on Friday and we were really worried since it was over a week now that she had been sick. We had plans to take her to the doctor but she finally fell asleep and was finally resting peacefully… plus I had not been to bed yet, hubby only had two hours of sleep, it started storming and we didn’t want to attempt the hour drive considering the storm and lack of rest. We decided that if she got sick again we would take her to the Children’s Hospital After Hours. Luckily, that was the last time she got sick, thank goodness!!
Unfortunately, after spending a week tending to her, I had manged to get her icky stomach bug. I spent almost all of Saturday, all day Sunday and all day Monday sick in bed. Yep, it was so bad that hubby actually took off work in order to tend to Abby and try to prevent her from catching it again. He never takes off work!
Our Easter was spent at home, I did get up long enough to spend a little time with Abby and take pictures of her finding her eggs. Oh she had SO much fun!! I so wish we had been able to take her to one of the egg hunts, she would have had a blast!
It has taken most of the week for me to feel slightly human again, Abby is back to her happy self and hopefully hubby has avoided the worst of the bug. Now I just need to catch up on the regular laundry, clean up the house and get back to work cleaning out the office. We are aiming to tackle Abby’s room this weekend… after we spend a little time outside enjoying the warmer weather 🙂
So, this is why I’ve been so quiet 🙂 we have been taking it easy and getting over the horrible stomach bug. I’m so ready for things to return to normal… whatever “normal” may be 🙂
