One of my favorite hobbies is finding unique furniture pieces and turning them into something new with a little furniture reupholstery makeover. I like to find pieces to add to our home as well as find unique pieces that will work great as photo props. An outdated chair or footstool can become a cool conversation piece to add to our current living room furniture; I especially love to find neat, antique chairs that simply need a little TLC and to be reupholstered, these make the best photography props ever.

I often get lots of compliments on my updated furniture and people ask me if furniture reupholstery is difficult. I actually find it fun, cost effective and a great way to get truly unique items for the home and for my photography. I don’t just focus on little items, I also find reupholstery a great way to keep my favorite couch looking nice. I have a three year old who seems prone to messes and a hubby that comes home filthy from his job, my poor couch often looks terrible and I hate that it is the first thing people see when they enter the home so a little reupholstery work and it looks so much better (and eliminates the need to spend a fortune trying to replace it)!

I’d love to revamp a chair we’ve had for many, many years. It really needs it!
This is a great idea! some of my furniture could definitely use it!
