It’s late and I really should be in bed. I can’t sleep, no surprise really considering my MRI is tomorrow. I’m a nervous wreck, have been for the past week. I want to get the test done and over with so I can find out what is wrong but at the same time, I don’t want to find out what is wrong because I’m worried it’s something major. Yeah, as you can imagine, sleep is pretty much going to be impossible tonight.
Unfortunately for me (and my waistline lol) I tend to get the munchies when I’ m really worried about things. I also get the munchies late at night when I can’t sleep due to nerves. Since I have decided to tackle my weight and really get started on losing weight, late night munchies are not good. Sleep is out of the question for now, I can’t seem to keep my mind on my book, typing up blog posts won’t really work since my laptop is broken (typing this quickly from my tablet… not fun!), so what should I do to take my mind off things?
PINTEREST!
Yep, I’m going to distract myself by getting happily lost on Pinterest. Great for my waistline (if I can avoid all the yummy looking dessert recipes) but not so great for my wallet. I absolutely love DIY/crafty projects and Pinterest is the perfect place to find ideas. I’m also wanting to get started sewing and I have found several great tutorials for beginners. I’m sure my husband won’t be thrilled when I wake him up early this weekend to head out to yard sales/thrift shops/flea markets to find goodies to use for my projects but hey, he should be happy I’m not bothering him right now considering how late it is.
So far I have a list two pages long of projects to try out. I have also found several necklaces and shoes that I want along with lots of cute dresses for Abby. Oh my, Pinterest really is addicting! I also want to totally remodel several rooms of the house, perhaps this was not the best idea 🙂 But it has really helped take my mind off of things.
Yes, I’m really nervous… I’m trying to distract myself. This random post helps although it doesn’t make much sense. Forgive me, my mind is preoccupied and I’m exhausted. The good news is I’ll have lots of new craft/DIY projects to post about!
😉 I have also avoided the late night munchies! Yay!
Hope your MRI went okay! Pinterest is a great distraction!
