Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of year and I love decorating for both Fall and Halloween; I actually pulled out my tubs of decor this week so I could get my home festive for Fall and spooky for Halloween! This year, I have a few fun new additions to my decorations and these new additions are created using candy corn! Yep, you read that correctly. I have been inspired this year to create Fall/Halloween crafts using Starburst Candy Corn. Candy Corn is probably my entire family’s favorite Fall candy so when I mentioned using it in craft projects, I definitely got a look from hubby. Although I had never considered using our favorite little candy for a craft, thanks to Starburst Candy Corn and Tori Spelling, I have definitely been inspired and can’t wait to use candy corn in all sorts of fun craft projects!
When the bags arrived, I immediately loved the bright colors. I could definitely see these colors for festive crafts and couldn’t wait to see what all Tori Spelling had come up with using this fun candy. I loved all of Tori’s Tasty Tips for Halloween Entertaning and immediately found several of her creations that I wanted to try out. I’ve never even considered using candy to create decorations but after seeing Tori’s creations, I couldn’t wait to give it a try. Tori came up with some really great ways to decorate for Halloween as well as several festive treats and gift ideas. I think my absolute favorite one is the Delightful Door Hanger:

Isn’t is super cute! I love this but unfortunately, thanks to Abby and I both catching a dreadful cold, I never made it to the store to look for letters and the other materials needed to create my own door hanger. This will definitely be put on the “to make” list.
All of Tori’s ideas looked easy and fun to make, I finally decided to try my hand at creating a Magnificent Mum Ball:

Looks easy… now for me to try…

Oh my, I had so much fun making a Magnificent Mum Ball and think it turned out really cute, especially for my first attempt. Although I have small styrofoam balls to use, I still ended up only having enough Starburst Candy Corn to make one. I had two candy corn thieves sneaking around my craft table stealing my craft supplies. And I admit, I couldn’t help but snack on a few while I worked. I love craft time, it’s my “mommy time” and my way to relax and have a few spare moments (seconds) to myself.
I will definitely be using several of Tori Spelling’s Tasty Tips for Halloween Entertaining to decorate our home for Halloween and make things festive for when we have company over during fun little Halloween parties. I’m also considering a few, like the Festive Favors, as possible fun “You’ve Been Booed” gifts. Here are a few more of her amazing creations:

Tori Spelling has definitely inspired me and I’ve actually been playing around with my own Starburst Candy Corn Halloween decor crafts. Who knew decorating with candy could be so much fun!? Definitely pick up a bag of Starburst Candy Corn and either recreate one of Tori Spelling’s great projects or get inspired and creative and create your own! Have fun and do something different this year by decorating for Halloween with Starburst Candy Corn! For more ideas and project inspiration check out the Starburst Candy Corn Facebook Page.
