“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Duracell. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
Batteries are an absolute must in my house and I am constantly adding to my stock pile. So many items we have in our home, from Abby’s toys to our flashlights and our smoke detectors, and the last thing I need is for the batteries to die and not have any on hand. This happened enough times in the past that I quickly learned my lesson! Abby has a fascination with flashlights, she calls them spot lights and loves to play with them. Unfortunately, she tends to leave them on and of course the batteries run down. It never fails, power will go out and I’ll reach for our big flash lights only to discover that the batteries are dead and we had no more in the house. Yeah, that got old real quick and now I make sure we have plenty to cover everything in the house (although sometimes I wish the batteries would run out for good in some of Abby’s toys).
Believe it or not, I actually have a stash of batteries in the car as well! Sad isn’t it. Abby has a few toys that she loves to take with her when we head out for therapy or to go to the store or to take a trip to see family, and after experiencing dead batteries on one very long car trip, I now make sure to have a small little assorted stash tucked away in the console. Plus you just never know when you might need a battery. I also keep a flashlight in the car and it would totally be my luck for the batteries to die the one night I end up with car problems and need to use it. Keeping batteries handy is just a smart thing to do.
When I heard about Duracell’s new Quantum battery I knew I had to give these batteries a try. Duracell’s Quantum is the world’s most advanced alkaline battery with unbeatable, long-lasting power. Definitely sounds like a winner to me and like the perfect battery to keep up with my busy family. The Duracell’s Quantum is the world’s more advanced alkaline battery because:
- The Duracell Quantum Hi-Density Core stores more power than ever before.
- Duracell Quantum is the only battery with a power indicator on the cell.
- PowerCheck allows consumers to see the amount of battery power remaining so that nothing is wasted.
- Duracell DURALOCK Power Preserve technology locks in power for up to 10 years in storage.
- Duracell Quantum can be efficiently used across both low-drain and high-drain devices.
I love the power indicator feature the most, it has helped so much in making sure important items like flashlights are ready just in case the storm knocks out power. Being able to double check the amount of power the batteries still have is so much better than thinking the batteries are working just for them to quit after a few minutes. This is also great for Abby’s back up monitor and noise maker, now I can rest assured that if power goes out her room remains normal and she isn’t disrupted during the night. I also love that the DURALOCK Power Preserve technology locks in power for up to 10 years! That means I don’t have to worry about my stock pile/stash losing power too quickly.
To help make Duracell Quantum batteries easier to spot in stores, Duracell Quantum is being released in red instead of black. The red symbolizes the power of the Hi-Density Core.
What makes me love Duracell even more is that this year, Duracell has donated one million batteries to first responders across the country to help them power their life-saving equipment! That is absolutely amazing and truly wonderful of Duracell! Both of my parents were first responders at one time and I still have several friends who are first responders. I love knowing that Duracell is helping them out in such a big way! First Responders depend heavily on their equipment and when a life is on the line, every second counts. Having equipment working properly is a must and having the best batteries out there powering their life-saving equipment means first responders can focus on their job.
Duracell has also created Quantum Heroes, a documentary style video series that shines a spotlight on the incredible work of first responders and their stories of sacrifice and heroism. I watched a few of the videos and I’ll be honest, I got chills just hearing Tim McGraw’s first couple of sentences. This is real and could happen to any of us and I’m so thankful that we have these wonderful Heroes out there to help us in emergencies. Take a moment and check out the videos: Duracell’s Quantum Heroes Documentary
I know I mainly mention toys and simple things but having working batteries can sometimes be life saving, check out Duracell’s Quantum, give these awesome batteries a try and see what a difference they can make for your family.
