My family loves to help others in any little way we can whenever possible; I have learned that any amount of help, no matter how large or small, means so much to someone in need. This is why I love participating in Champions for Kids projects that help support local kids in my community. When I heard the Champions4Kids #SimpleGiving donate pallets and bins would soon be arriving at Walmart again I couldn’t wait to stop by and do some quick shopping.
Because I try to teach Abby the importance of helping others, she and I headed out to Walmart to purchase Kimberly-Clark and Unilever personal care products such as Kleenex, Dial soap, shampoo, handwipes, and deodorant from the Champions for Kids purple pallet. I explained to Abby that we were helping other kids who might not have what they need and I allowed her to pick all of the items for us to purchase.
It took us a few minutes to find the Champions for Kids purple pallet but once we did, we got to work picking up a variety of items.

It doesn’t take much to help and it takes only a second to speak with others about a great cause. I love that it doesn’t take much to make such a big impact in someone’s life. Once Abby had filled our buggy (as well as our two new friend’s buggies) it was time to check out and drop our items in the purple donate bins.

Fifteen minutes out of our day and we were able to do something great for someone else. Best of all, I know that we are helping local children right here in our hometown.
For those who are wondering what SIMPLE Giving is:
SIMPLE Giving is a Champions for Kids program that makes it simple for you to donate items to help kids in their community! You can purchase items at your local Walmart and drop them in purple donation bins after checkout. All of the donations go to children in the school district where the Walmart store is located!
From now until November 11th, you can look for the Champions for Kids #SimpleGiving purple pallet at your local Walmart and pick up a few items to drop off in the purple donate bin. You can help local kids in your community! Make a little note on your grocery list or just stop by Walmart for a quick shopping trip just to pick up donation items. Every little bit counts and helps so much, every little bit means a lot to a child in need. Let me know if you get a chance to do your own shopping, I would love to hear if you do (pictures are welcome to!)!
We had a fun shopping trip and Abby has talked nonstop about it since we left. She told all her therapists about shopping, picking out Kleenex and shampoo and about helping other kids. I’m proud of my girl for trying to tell the older ladies what she was doing as we shopped, for only being three she did a pretty good job! Plus she made new friends and even got to help them shop.
