Those who follow us on Instagram already met our new family member but we wanted to introduce her to our blog followers!
One major change while I was away from blogging was we adopted Prissy three years ago.

I had been considering a pet for Abby for several months but never could decide on anything. We looked at guinea pigs, hamsters, even rabbits but I was always hesitant because Abby is very hyper and can be tough even if she thinks she’s being gentle.
Then I came across a post on Facebook late one night. An adorable cat with a precious heart nose ❤. I was immediately won over! I hadn’t been considering a cat because I’m allergic and my husband hates cats but I knew this car was the pet for us.
The next day we went to meet her, she took to us immediately and wasn’t bothered a bit by my hyper child. There was no doubt, she was meant for our family!

Once home, Prissy quickly discovered what would be her favorite spots (My chair, my side of the bed, lol see a pattern here?) and Abby was excited to have her first pet. It took a few days to name her but Prissy was definitely the perfect name.
Prissy has been the perfect addition to our family, she’s so patient with Abby and loves to curl up with me everywhere I go. My husband even likes her although he’ll never admit it!

Prissy is now 13 years old, she’s a Snowshoe Siamese and she has a heart nose. She loves to follow my husband around and will sit patiently on her stool waiting for treats while he cooks 😄. Most of the time she barely makes a sound but around 5- 6am she’s extremely vocal!!

Yep, she definitely keeps life interesting!

There are some days I feel like I have a toddler instead of an adult cat! But I’m so glad I came across that Facebook post that night. Prissy is so much more than just a pet, she’s an important part of our family.
