Ok, this is basically everyone’s adventure right now but we truly are homeschooling the remainder of Abby’s 4th grade year.
Our homeschooling adventure began in February and while it was definitely a difficult decision, it was the absolute best decision possible for my daughter. The best I can say about this current school year is it has been a complete disaster. Read more about our horrible school experience HERE.
So, I made the decision to homeschool her just for the rest of 4th grade. We also submitted our school choice form for next school year to the school we hope for her to attend. Little did I know that everyone would be basically homeschooling a month after we left the school but hey, it can be a fun learning experience for us all!

Am I nervous? Most definitely! I’m terrified of messing up and messing up her learning even more. I’m terrified I’ll do things wrong, won’t be able to help her, cause her to regress even more… believe me, I’ve thought and worried and lost sleep over every possibility. And yes, being stuck at home due to COVID-19 isn’t helping because it has caused all her much needed therapies to be put on hold.

But, we are doing our best and we will get through this and her disastrous 4th grade year will soon be nothing more than a memory that we don’t have to revisit except to remember the fun times.
If you have any tips, helpful information, great advice, anything at all about homeschooling let me know! This isn’t our permanent solution but I want to do the absolute best I can for her especially to help her get back on track!
