As I packed up all my craft materials for the move, I came across a hug bag full of wine corks.
I remember months ago, possibly even a year or two, I asked my mom to help me gather wine bottle corks for a craft idea I had. She randomly came across this bag full at a yard sale or thrift shop. Considering the bag is still full, it’s pretty obvious I never got around to making that craft.
Story of my life…
However, as they say, everything happens for a reason.
That craft was for something to go along with our kitchen decor… which we completely changed when we moved.
And while scrolling online late one night, I came across yet another wine cork crafty idea to try.
Now, I’ll apologize upfront, my pictures aren’t “pinterest perfect”, to be honest, they are pretty pitiful to even post.
I didn’t think about blogging or photographing this craft as I worked late one night.
I actually decided to make this at 2am, complete spur of the moment.
We had just received the upsetting news about Prissy, it was storming so my daughter couldn’t sleep and honestly, I desperately needed a major distraction from everything.
Crafting is my go-to for distractions.
So I gathered supplies and sat at my messy desk and just started working. I figured I would do a little bit then finish later. But as I worked, I continued to work and eventually it was 5am and I had a completed Wine Cork Pumpkin. I did think about taking “progress” pictures but as mentioned, they aren’t great.
But enough rambling, here’s my cute little pumpkin.

I love how it turned out, little imperfections and all. It looked super cute with all my Fall decor!
